Competitive Program:  11U – 19U Girls & Boys

Beginning with the 11U age group, players can tryout for competitive teams.

CapEast sponsors competitive teams from 11U - 14U (usually 5th – 8th grade) that play in the fall and spring seasons during any given academic calendar year.

Starting in high school, competitive teams (15U – 19U) only play for CapEast in the season that is opposite* the high school (interscholastic) season.

Tryouts for Capital East competitive HS teams typically occur in May/June preceding the fall/spring seasons when league play begins. (Boys HS teams may offer additional tryout dates during the late fall and/or winter preceding the spring club season.).

Competitive players should plan for two practices per week during the fall and/or spring seasons with additional indoor winter training ahead of the spring season.

Competitive teams are coached by qualified and licensed staff who hold at minimum, a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “E” coaching license, or equivalent.

CapEast competitive teams are placed in one of two leagues:  MAYSA or WYSA.  There are usually four home and four away games during each of the fall and spring seasons.

Teams competing in the MAYSA League (Tier 1 or Tier 2) could be scheduled to play away games anywhere in South Central Wisconsin.

Teams competing in the Wisconsin State League (WYSA) could be scheduled to play away games anywhere in South Central Wisconsin and beyond (Milwaukee, Appleton etc.).

Teams being considered for the Wisconsin State League (WYSA) must apply for admission. Decisions to apply to and play in the “State League” (if accepted) are made by club staff in close consultation with parents.
