less-competitive program: 9U - 14U Girls & Boys

(formerly known as "REC" soccer)

Beginning at the 9U age group (usually 3rd grade) some players/families may choose a less-competitive soccer pathway while still enjoying the benefits of playing soccer with their friends at CapEast.

 

Considerations:

 

There are no tryouts for less-competitive teams

Teams will be placed in Tier 3 or Tier 4 of the MAYSA League

Teams usually practice once per week during the season

Teams are generally coached by a team parent or other volunteer

Process for Player and Team Registration:

 

For any age-group specific team to become a reality, several criteria must be met:

 

Interested players are strongly encouraged to register well ahead (2-3 months) of the intended season of play.

 

CapEast must have enough registered players 1-2 months ahead of the upcoming season for the club to make a commitment that we have enough players for a team. This is required by MAYSA for league formation and the creation of game schedules.

 

CapEast must have a parent (or other) volunteer coach secured.

 

In the event that there are too few players registered to make a given team viable, the club will release the registered payers and issue a full refund.
